Story
Cal Lynch travels back in time to 15th-century Spain through a revolutionary technology that unlocks the genetic memories contained in his DNA. There, he lives out the experiences of Aguilar de Nerha, a distant relative who's also a member of the Assassins, a secret society that fights to protect free will from the power-hungry Templar Order. Transformed by the past, Cal begins to gain the knowledge and physical skills necessary to battle the oppressive organization in the present.

When it comes to the massive franchise that is Assassin's Creed, the franchise has never been lacking in action or surprises. From their famous missions to the intense online experiences, gamers have never been disappointed by the games. With the release of the first live-action film, however, gamers could definitely be misled. Assassin's Creed was simply not the first time fans had seen the fabled assassin named Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
But that is all changing now as developers and movie studios teamed up to bring viewers a new side to Ezio. A far more mature side, if you will. While the movie did not meet its financial or critical expectations, gamers, eager to continue the story have another option now to do so.
The movie, Assassin's Creed: Origins, is now available in some movie theaters. The virtual "gamer" treat is available to stream at most of the participating theaters for free as long as you have a valid ticket. You do not have to be in one of the theaters. It is possible to watch it at any time. It is also available on more than 40,000 screens worldwide. You can see a list of all the participating theaters here.

The game has just been released, so you do not need a copy to view the movie. However, if you want to continue your experience with the game, you can try out the free trial. There is a small catch though. According to Steam users, the movie demo will ask you to enter your Gamertag. If you choose not to, you will not be able to continue the game after the free trial expires. The trial can be found here.
It is also possible to purchase the film on Amazon if you don't want to watch it.
